What is acceptance criteria

Acceptance Criteria (AC) are the lowest-level functional requirements that a software product must meet to be accepted by its users or the customer and be compatible with other systems. They are specific to each user story and describe the functionality from the end-user perspective.

Asking StoriesOnBoard AI to write acceptance criteria will result in a list of possible criteria. You can add all the brainstormed items or deselect irrelevant ones.

Like user story writing, this feature can be triggered directly from a user story card. Acceptance criteria will be added to the end of the description.

Follow the steps below to write acceptance criteria using StoriesOnBoard AI:

  1. Make sure StoriesOnBoard AI is enabled on your workspace

  2. Make sure that the product context form is filled out

  3. Open a user story card

  4. Select "Write acceptance criteria"

  5. Click on "Use it" to accept the user story
