How to archive a release

When time comes you can archive a release and save up space on your story map. An archived release can anytime be restored if needed. To archive a release follow these steps:

  1. Open the story map

  2. Find the release you wish to archive

  3. Click on the release details

  4. Select "Archive"
    OR

  5. Open the release menu

  6. Find the release you wish to archive and select the three dots menu

  7. Proceed with "Archive"

Step by step guide to archive a release

Open the story map and find the release you wish to archive. Then open release details.

To archive the release select the "Archive" option. The release will automatically be removed from your story map and it will be stored in the archive.

You can also archive a release from the release list menu by selecting the three dots menu and click on the "Archive" option.

How to restore an archived release

In case you may need to restore an archived release and access its details or take a look at the user stories within the release you can visualize it again on the story map. To restore an archived release follow these steps:

  1. Open the story map

  2. Visit the "Settings" menu

  3. Select "Archived items"

  4. Find the release you wish to restore and select "Restore"
    OR

  5. Open the release list menu and select "Archived releases"

  6. Find the release you wish to restore and select "Restore"

Step by step guide to restore an archived release

Open the story map visit the "Settings" menu and select the "Archived items" option.

Find the release you wish to restore and proceed with "Restore". This action will add the release back to the story map and you can access its details and user stories.

You can also select the release list menu and select "Show archived releases".
