How to generate Personal access token on GitHub

  1. Visit GitHub and open Settings > Developer settings (click here)

  2. Select “Generate token”

  3. Choose “Generate new token (classic)”

  4. Enable the following settings:

    1. repo

    2. admin:repo_hook

  5. Save settings

  6. Copy the generated token into StoriesOnBoard integration settings

Step-by-step guide to generate a Personal access token on GitHub

To generate your new Personal access token visit GitHub and open Settings > Developer settings. Then select “Generate new token”.

Proceed with “Generate new token (classic)".

In order to setup the integration between StoriesOnBoard and Github allow the following selections:

  • repo

  • admin:repo_hook

Then save your settings to generate the Personal access token.

Copy the generated token and paste it into the designated filed in integration settings on StoriesOnBoard.

Visit StoriesOnBoard and open integration settings to paste the generated Personal access token to finalize the integration.
