How to assign users to story cards?

Assignees can be added to story cards at any time during discovery, planning and on backlog view as well. However, the best overview you can get is on the dedicated tracking view of your project.

  1. Open the story card

  2. Select assignee

  3. Assign users

  1. Open the story card

  2. Visit the Tracking view of the selected release

  3. Select the story card and assign a user to it

How to filter assignees?

The best overview of assignees on your cards displayed on the tracking view of the story map. The tracking view allows you to analyse and track releases with a simplified, Kanban-style list view of issues in the release. It provides additional information such as annotations on cards or release summary and reports helps on large maps to track the status or estimations of the project.

Filter your card assignees on the story map

  1. Visit the tracking view

  2. Select assignee filter option

  3. Choose a collaborator to see assigned cards

To see all cards assigned to yourself for example select “Assigned to me”.

How to make assignees visible on the story map

Once assignees are added to cards, you can make them visible for everyone on the project by enabling it in "View settings". In each view you must enable or disable assignees individually.

Displaying assignees is available in dedicated views of your story map:

  • Planning view with full name

  • Backlog view with initials
