@mention a teammate in a description

Need someone's attention on a specific card? Type @ in a card description, start typing a name or email, and pick a collaborator from the list. They'll be notified that you mentioned them — with the context they need to jump straight in.

Each notification includes the card title, a direct link to the card, and an excerpt of the surrounding text, so the person you mentioned knows exactly what you're asking about. Notifications reach them on every channel they use:

  • 📧 Email — with the card title, link and a formatted context excerpt

  • 💬 Slack — the same context, formatted for Slack

  • 🔔 In-app — right in their notification inbox

Use the arrow keys to move through the list, Enter to insert, and Esc to dismiss. Mentions stay intact when you save and reopen the card, so the reference is always there.

Insert and edit hyperlinks in descriptions

Card descriptions now support proper clickable links. Add a link, give it a friendly label, and edit or remove it later — all without leaving the editor.

There are a few ways to add a link:

  • Press Cmd/Ctrl + K to open the link popup at your cursor or on selected text

  • Use the link button in the editor toolbar

  • Simply paste a URL and it becomes a clickable link

To change or remove an existing link, click it while editing — a small bubble toolbar appears with Edit, Remove and Open actions. Links open in a new tab, and any formatting on the text you linked (bold, italic, strikethrough) is kept.
