Portal

Portal is where you can create and share your product ideas, collect feedback, and get insights from end users.

The internal view of the portal can be accessed from the left-side panel of StoriesOnBoard. Here you have a preview, and you can control every detail of your feedback portal before publishing it for your audience.

It is possible to create multiple portals for different audiences like a public portal for your end-users, and another for your legacy or enterprise customers.

The items of the portal come from the idea panel where you can have different states for ideas. Then you can set up the portal page which states what you’d like to show on your public portal.

The visibility settings of the portal can be changed on the upper right menu bar. There are two options: Draft (for internal use) and Public (for your audience)

In the settings menu, you can edit the portals title, URL and add a description. Also, you can remove StoriesOnBoard branding, however, that option is only available in the premium plan.

On the second tab, you can edit some parameters for embedding and copy the embed code.

The third tab can help to separate insights from different portals, by tagging them. The tags can be the portal's title or a custom tag.

User rights:

  • workspace members who can access the feedback management can edit and create multiple portals

  • observers have access to the portal preview, but can't comment on the card and they are not allowed to upvote an item (they can upvote features on the public URL)
